People whose views and minds I respect keep saying Democrats and leftists in power and media are frightened. I understand, because all liars and sociopaths are, by definition, on the run — psychologically (since deception is hard to maintain), and sometimes literally. But the worst of the leftists don’t seem that way to me. Alex Soros has essentially said, “Just stand by Biden. We’ve got this.” AOC has said pretty much the same.
Leftists do not have to be on the run. They are in charge of schools, universities, media, the entire government bureaucracy and the entire agenda. Rational, sane people are on the defensive. Constantly. “What do you mean you don’t think there are 57 genders? What the hell is wrong with you?!” They want to preserve and expand their control. But for the most part, they enjoy overwhelming dominance and they know it.
These are people who don’t believe their opposition has any real gumption. That we’re all “deplorables”, as Hillary famously said, or we’re all preoccupied with guns or Bibles, as Obama once claimed.
They’re not really afraid of us. They are afraid of Trump, but they believe if they can only silence or otherwise eliminate him, that will spell the end of dissension in America. It will all be woke, world government and submission — after Trump.
It’s up to us to figure out ways to make these sinister authoritarians much more afraid than they seem to be.
