Anti-Trumpers view Trump the man as THE problem. They act as if he exists in a vacuum. “Get Trump in jail. Bankrupt him. Just get rid of Trump and all will be well.” Seriously? Is Trump forcing his supporters to think a certain way? Will they STOP thinking that way if Trump disappears tomorrow? Or do they embrace him, in varying degrees, because he’s the last significant person left running for office (or almost anywhere in the culture) who stands for the U.S. Constitution, the Rights of Man, and the ideal of America, even sometimes?
The more the elites, the career politicians, the corporate kiss-asses, the sycophantic celebrities and deranged intellectuals succeed at obliterating Trump, the more they will be left with the most inconvenient truth of all: He did not happen by accident. They may find this fact comes back to bite them, in a more perilous way than Donald Trump himself ever could have.
