“This is a very encouraging thing [Trump beating Biden in current polls], because it shows you that the American people are not stupid. They recognize what’s going on,” Ben Carson continued. “They realize that if the left and the enemies of Trump are able to use the justice system to neutralize him, this will not be the same country anymore.”
“It will never go back to being ‘liberty and justice for all,’” Carson affirmed.
I love Ben Carson’s optimism. I know it comes from a decent place. But how decent is America anymore, if we’re honest about it? I am not saying most Americans are evil. But the ignorance is beyond anything we have ever seen. And the gullibility in the context of nearly comical media deception is shocking. Ignorance and gullibility are not virtues.
Personally, I don’t think Trump can withstand the onslaught of felony charges brought about by a federal government whose moral status is finished, on its way into becoming a reboot of Soviet, Nazi or worse. And let’s not forget the 100 percent unaddressed election fraud from 2020 and probably 2022 as well (remember, polls predicted a Republican red wave that year too.) And we have yet to see how Chief Justice Weenie John Roberts handles the brazenly unconstitutional removal of Trump from a growing number of state ballots. And let’s not forget the ever-looming pandemic: the sequel.
But if Trump did somehow pull it off — which honestly seems to require magical thinking to assume — the damage is still done. Unless, following a Trump victory, we literally round up the entire Biden crime family, Cabinet, White House officials, VP, the relevant members of the FBI, DOJ and even the military, and punish them for relevant crimes, including the capital offense of treason. I don’t think most Americans have the stomach to support such an entirely justified move.
We have a bigger problem on our hands than one fantasized election scenario can ever resolve. And we’re only a single economic meltdown away from triggering some version of an all-out civil war.
