“Mindfulness” Without Minds

The rage in self-help today is “mindfulness.” But mindfulness presupposes REASON. And reason implies the very things not permitted in any quarter today: objectivity; absolutes; right and wrong; truth; judgment; and the responsibility of certainty.

It’s one of the many perverse, almost darkly comical ironies of our utterly anti-intellectual, insane era: Mindfulness propped up by mindlessness.

No civilization can withstand a contradiction this wildly polarized. If you wonder why the world has gone batshit crazy — this is why.
