Speaking on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, California Governor Gavin Newsom complained that the federal government might not bail out his state, saying, “It is incumbent upon the federal government to help support these states through this difficult time.”
I hardly know what to say. This creep claims that Rhode Island, Kansas and Georgia legally and morally OWE California a bailout. People in these states must be forced to pay for California’s welfare programs for illegals, among other things. Does the reverse apply? Should California be forced to pay for bridges in Oklahoma, schools in North Dakota or illegal aliens in Maryland? It’s madness. It’s a sacrifice of all to all. Except Newsom aims to end up as the prime beneficiary. It’s incomprehensible that Republicans and President Trump would fall for it.
