The Governors vs. The Constitution

Yesterday, Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York railed against President Trump’s desire to get America reopened again. Cuomo insisted he will keep New York locked down as long as he feels like it. Because he can.

If he won’t let New Yorkers engage in the commerce and freedom of association the Constitution guarantees them … then arrest and try him, President Trump. And that goes for the rest of America’s governors too.

“We’re going to work with the governors. The governors are going to do a good job, and if they don’t do a good job, we’re going to come down on them very hard,” he said. “We’ll have no other choice.”

— President Trump, on reopening America.

Here’s hoping.
