“Make Up Your Minds” Says the Rapper to His Audience…” Or else…
Rapper YG [whoever the hell that is] crudely bullied a fan at his concert for refusing to yell “f*** Trump”, when pulled up on stage, and has prompted a vociferous response from the White House.
“Another example of the tolerant left,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham sarcastically told Fox News on Monday morning.
The hit from Grisham came in response to the viral video on Sunday that showed YG treating a fan at one of his concerts with contempt and disdain for not singing along to his anti-Trump anthem “FDT” (F*** Donald Trump”) after inviting the young man on stage.
“I spotted you in the crowd, I asked if you f**k with Donald Trump. You said, ‘You don’t know.’ So since you don’t know, I need you to make up your mind tonight,” said YG as he demanded that the fan state his name and yell out, “F*** Donald Trump.”
“Make up your mind”? The crude rapper doesn’t care about anyone’s mind. He is using intimidation and shaming. These are not tactics for persuading a mind. And they are not the tactics of a person who’s using a rational mind!
The MIND is something you “make up” using facts, logic and reason. You might come to a mistaken conclusion. But reason is still your method.
When you try and intimidate people into “making up their minds” by embarrassing, threatening or humiliating them, it’s like a sick joke. It’s a horrible, dishonest distortion, too.
It’s a metaphor for the left, as the White House points out. It’s the opposite of tolerance. But, more than that: It’s the polar opposite of reason.
Totalitarian dictatorships are not based on reason. They are not based on independent and objective thought.
Dictatorships cannot tolerate independent thought, in fact. Neither can this rapper.
Sure, he’s just another no-talent tired noise-maker masquerading as a musician.
But his tactics are no different than those of the national Democratic Party, the entire leftist movement, left-wing professors/talking heads in media and on college campuses, and the behavior of your typical Democrat (in my experience) toward anyone with a dissenting point-of-view.
It’s sickening. “Liberals” used to at least pretend to be liberal. Those days are long, long gone.
