At some point, we have to start asking ourselves: What do the armed forces of America think?
I’m referring to the police, particularly the federal officers, as well as the military.
Will THEY invade law-abiding people’s homes and take their guns? Will THEY arrest people for hiring private medical doctors for treatment not authorized by the Center for Medicare Services, under Medicare for All? (That’s how socialism works. Only the elite and politicians will get great care.) Will THEY arrest people for referring to a “transgendered” person as “he” instead of “she”, or for challenging the validity of Islam? And what about plastic straws? Or smuggled fossil fuels, once those are outlawed as all mainstream Democrats now promise? Because these are the policies of the left, already enacted in semi-free countries such as Canada, and starting now in California.
Socialism doesn’t just mean free stuff. It also means others do your thinking and decision-making for you. Communism — which is what it is — doesn’t just mean restraint of action; it’s restraint of your MIND. It’s so EASY to convince people to accept free college, free hospital care and free everything else. But how will Americans — even the people stupidly voting for such things — accept the loss of liberty that inevitably accompanies the government mandates? Because these new Democrats — any one of them who wins office, if he or she does — actually MEAN it.
Yet it all depends on enforcement. My theory (and hope): America’s armed forces and police are filled with quiet dissenters — maybe more than we civilians know. Can President Elizabeth Warren, President Joe Biden, President Buttigieg or President Kamala Harris — or whoever seizes power, even if it’s after Trump finishes a second term — count on these forces to enact their will? I don’t know. But I have to wonder. It’s incredible we have reached this point. But with one of our two parties now all-out fascist and Communist, we have to face reality.
