According to a study on AOC’s “Green New Deal”: Within the first year of implementing the program, the average household in each of the given states (Alaska, Florida, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Pennsylvania) would incur at least $70,000 in expenses — followed by roughly $45,000 in annual expenses for each of the following 2-5 years and over $37,000 after that time frame.
Here’s the thing about Communism and socialism: These systems wipe out the middle class.
The USA has the most vibrant middle class in all of human history. That’s what capitalism (or even semi-capitalism) provides: It lifts the standard of all. It does so by creating a huge and always expanding middle class.
The Green New Deal means wealth redistribution. It’s nothing more than socialism under a “green” label. It’s Communism. Communism generally takes hold in undeveloped countries. People in poor countries are desperate, and have no clue what capitalism could do for them. In the US, it’s different. There’s already a middle class created by the strong dose of capitalism we have thus far enjoyed. So Communism in the US involves a MASSIVE wealth transfer, primarily from the middle class, because there are way more people in the middle class than there are in the 1 percent wealthiest group.
In poor countries like Russia of 1917 and Cuba of 1960, or Venezuela (which could be rich with its oil), there was no widespread middle class to raid. In the USA, there is a huge middle class — and AOC is licking her chops at the prospect of seizing it all in the name of “altruism”. Call her stupid. But she knows what she’s doing.
Advocates of the Green New Deal are counting on the wealth and IGNORANCE of middle class people to make this all work politically. If enacted, it will lead to more despair and disaster than any natural disaster ever could.
It’s similar with proposals for wiped out student loans, free college and free health care. Somebody has to pay for them, and the wealthiest 1 percent simply don’t have enough. Bernie Sanders has already been forced to admit the middle class will pay for their own “free” health care. So much for being Santa Claus to millions.
For millions of people to support Democrats — who are now full-blown socialists, if not Communists — there has to be a LOT of ignorance out there. It’s truly shameful. I knew our schools and universities were bad, but even I didn’t think they were this bad. Democrats should have virtually no support in a minimally well-informed society. And yet they stand poised for a takeover, with President Donald Trump our last remaining firewall.
Ignorance is a scary, dangerous thing. If America is to survive, we have to overcome it. Fast.
