Elton John’s letter to Putin criticizing the Russian government’s censorship of gay sex scenes in “Rocket Man” (Elton John’s biography) was perfectly reasonable.
But one wonders if Elton John — a presumed leftist — grasps his own injustice and hypocrisy in supporting anti-“hate speech” codes, harassment of conservatives on federally funded college campuses, spitting on Trump supporters and all the rest.
Censorship and harassment by the government is not only wrong when it’s against gay people.
