Trump Official Cuts to the Heart of the Immigration Issue

“The President has made it a priority to ensure that every individual who seeks to come to the United States is self-sufficient, temporarily or permanently.”
— Ken Cuccinelli, acting director, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

This gets to the heart of the immigration issue. And it’s the precise opposite of what the statists on the left (and in the Republican Party) want.

The statists want immigrants who are NOT self-sufficient. They want immigrants who will immediately and permanently be dependent on the government — meaning THEM — for their well-being and survival.

They want this because it gives them power and a false feeling of moral superiority: “Look at me. I’m so kind and compassionate. I’m taking care of the entire world”.

It’s sick. It’s wrong. It’s deeply unjust to those immigrants — and to people born in America — who are fully self-sufficient and don’t require the government to provide them with everything, forever.

America was founded on the idea of self-sufficiency, independence and individual rights. None of this rules out charity or voluntary consideration for your fellow man. But to institutionalize charity into bankrupt, unsustainable government programs, all for the purpose of propping up the phony moral superiority and power of people like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez? Forcing people to take care of others is what fascists and Communists do. It’s vile to think that the government of the United States, at least when ruled by Democrats or stupid Republicans, now seeks to do the same.

It’s deeply sick, wrong and twisted. And it’s NOT what America was ever about.
