Don’t Mess With Texas

A right-wing Australian senator who made controversial remarks following the terrorist attacks in New Zealand was pelted in the head with an egg and responded by punching the person who threw it in the face.

A 17-year-old boy smacked Sen. Fraser Anning in the head with the egg as he was talking to reporters on Saturday morning in Melbourne. Anning responded by turning around and punching the teenager twice in the face.

USA Today reported, “the teen was arrested and released by Victoria police. Police are investigating the incident, including Anning’s actions.” [story here]

Here’s what the Australian senator said, the comments that “triggered” the boy to throw the egg:

“Let us be clear, while Muslims may have been the victims today, usually they are the perpetrators.  World-wide, Muslims are killing people in the name of their faith on an industrial scale.  The entire religion of Islam is simply the violent ideology of a sixth century despot masquerading as a religious leader, which justifies endless war against anyone who opposes it and calls for the murder of unbelievers and apostates.  The truth is that Islam is not like any other faith.  It is the religious equivalent of fascism. And just because the followers of this savage belief were not the killers in this instance, does not make them blameless.”

A reader of mine from Texas replied:

“All that truth-telling and he punched that little s**tbird in the face.  If he moves to Texas I’ll vote for him.”

Amen! Thank you, reader from Texas.

Obviously, schools brainwash kids with stupid, irrational, anti-freedom ideas in Australia too.

Maybe if we got government out of the schools, we’d have young adults who could actually think.
