What the Death of Reason Looks Like

We know a society is unhinged from reason when reason no longer matters. On the Democratic left, that’s all we’ve seen, especially since the election of Donald Trump as President. Facts and evidence no longer seem to matter.

“Russia. Russia’s the thing.” And then facts are distorted or invented to manufacture a Russia conspiracy. What about the actual FACT Hillary Clinton sold uranium to the Russians? That doesn’t matter. It’s not that people claim it’s not a fact. It’s that people claim only certain facts matter.

THAT’S the death of reason.

In the case of Democrats — and now Brett Kavanaugh — the only “facts” that matter are the ones that unseat the President from his legitimately elected role. And ditto for Brett Kavanaugh.

If they get away with it regarding Brett Kavanaugh, then they will know they can get away with it regarding Donald Trump, or ANY dissenting opinion or candidate ever to arise again.

With the obliteration of reason, which the Democratic/media/academic left now offers us, the stage is set for a dictatorship. We will still have a Constitution and even a Bill of Rights in name only; but with only one party — and one point-of-view — essentially running the show, it won’t matter.

Just ask anyone who’s not a left-wing Democrat in California. That’s what they’re seeking to accomplish in all of America.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with sexual assault. In some people’s minds it does, but no rational person who actually cares about sexual assault would rush to embrace a case where the motives are plainly political and no facts, evidence or corroboration will ever exist.

It’s all about killing what’s left of people’s ability to think and reason. When those attributes go, the Democrats get what they want. One point-of-view, one party, one way of doing things.

Think about that before listening to even one more moment of all the insanity in our news stories.
