“Don’t Believe a Gender. Believe Evidence.”

Michelle Malkin said it brilliantly:

“It’s not victim blaming to get to the bottom of the truth.  It’s liar-shaming.  Don’t believe a gender. Believe evidence.”

What a profound and insightful point. It goes way beyond the obviously political nonsense going on over Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination.

It’s called rationality. It’s called objective truth.

None of us — men or women — can live without it.

To say, “Believe women” over and above the evidence — as if evidence were irrelevant — is an insult to women. It implies women cannot handle truth, that women are too fragile and incompetent to be held to standards of objective truth, and that men must walk on eggshells whenever a woman makes an accusation, no matter what the facts, circumstances, or reality of that accusation are.

It’s insane. It’s insulting. It’s demeaning.

It’s immoral because it’s objectively unjust. It’s unjust to establish the precedent that IF you belong to a politically correct victim group, any accusation you utter will immediately be taken as truth; and IF you belong to a politically incorrect demographic group (white, male, Christian, capitalist-supporter, Trump supporter, whatever it is), then you are to be disbelieved, and treated as already convicted, regardless.

Earth to America: This is how dictatorships operate. Human beings — free, thinking, self-determining human beings — cannot operate this way, and will not survive this way.

Is that what we want? Is that what any of us wants, rationally speaking? Is this in the interest of women or men — of any individual who wishes to inhabit a world where the rule of law matters, where freedom counts and where people cannot be tried and convicted merely because of another’s accusation?

Are we so far gone, as a society, that the truth no longer matters? That only what our self-appointed moral guardians in media, academia, sports, entertainment, rock music — all who deem themselves as the final word on politics, ethics and morals — decide to conclude?

We’re witnessing the equivalent of the lynchings of the Jim Crow South, or the irrational executions of the Salem Witch Trials. Or the widespread, institutionalized insanity of the centuries-long Middle Ages. There’s no excuse for it in the 21st Century!

If we keep going on like this, the irrationality will devour us all. Once reason is gone from a society, liberty will go along with it, because you cannot have individual rights without the objectivity and justice inherent in a system that protects freedom and rights.

Remember that, before you succumb to what the mindless dolts we have anointed our moral-guardians-by-default in the cultural Establishment determine you should think, not only about Brett Kavanaugh, but about anything.
