The New York Times Editor With an Obama Doll in Her Purse: Sick, But True

A former New York Times executive editor keeps a Barack Obama therapy doll in her purse, she wrote in an op-ed for The Guardian published Wednesday.

Jill Abramson, 63, the former executive editor for The New York Times from 2011 to 2014, claimed she keeps a therapy doll of the 44th president to get her through the Trump Administration, she wrote in The Guardian Mar. 7th. The Harvard educated journalist previously wrote a book about the Obama administration, “Obama: The Historic Journey,” published in 2009.

“It’s easy to look at what’s happening in Washington, D.C., and despair. That’s why I carry a little plastic Obama doll in my purse. I pull him out every now and then to remind myself that the United States had a progressive, African American president until very recently. Some people find this strange, but you have to take comfort where you can find it in Donald Trump’s America,” Abramson wrote.  [Source: The Daily Caller 3-9-18]

This is a woman who has no life. Why? Because it’s clear that politics is, to her, everything.

To people like this New York Times editor who carries an Obama doll in her purse for comfort, Government is God. Government is her religion. If someone who does not fit her “progressive” vision of the world is in power, her entire world collapses and there’s nothing in it for her.

Government, to a person like this, gives her whole life meaning and purpose. You’d think that having been an executive editor for the world’s most famous newspaper would have given her a lot of meaning and purpose. But apparently the whole point of that was to install and keep in office a “progressive” — translation: Communist, socialist, statist, leftist — president. This gives you an idea of just how much intellectual honesty and objectivity is really taking place at that unjustly esteemed newspaper.

This is why so many of your leftist Democrat friends are hostile, hateful and even physically aggressive toward people who disagree. When Government is their reason for living, they’re naturally hostile to those who stand in the way of what they consider the central meaning of life.

They’re like children, except without the excuse. They cannot tolerate an existence where so many people disagree with them and do not share their world view. At root, intolerant dictators — fascists, Nazis, Communists — are all children hell-bent on getting their way. They experience rage and depression — alternating between the two — when they don’t get their way.

You have to understand: A leftist is a religious fanatic just like any other religious fanatic. The defining psychological characteristic of a religious fanatic is an inability and unwillingness to coexist with those who disagree. Hence the child-like tirades, social media unfriending and retreats illustrated by the spectacle of a grown, supposedly accomplished woman carrying around a doll of a third-rate American president with her in her purse.

The irony? A rationally and objectively good government would be one that does so little you’d hardly even think about it. It’s a government that would quietly work at keeping you safe from people who try to impose force on you. You know the kind I mean — killers, thieves, rapists and the “progressive” politicians people like Jill Abramson so yearn to have rule them.

Virtually our entire intellectual and media establishment is infiltrated with these sick and twisted mentalities. It’s no wonder our culture is in the state it’s in.
