Happy 2018!

There’s no law (at least yet) saying you have to make New Year’s resolutions. Nor is there a law forbidding you from making resolutions any time during the year.

What’s the point of a resolution, anyway? To make your life better. This should not be something you only think about and resolve to act upon in the final hours of the calendar year. It ought to be a lifetime commitment — for your own sake, most of all.

The bottom line is that every life is an end in itself. Your life is your own to live, and yours to determine.

In that spirit, it makes sense to say “Happy New Year” … all year, every year and throughout the year.
