I keep reading that angry Muslims are attacking NATO forces in Afghanistan.
“Angry Muslims?” Why is that news? Muslims are by definition angry.
Obama says they’re angry because the U.S. hasn’t been humble enough. But Obama has been plenty humble. He started out his administration by apologizing for the United States’ strength acquired over a century or more. In this most recent affair, he apologized to Muslims for the burning of their holy book, although it was only an accident. That’s pretty humble, isn’t it?
Get real, Obama. Muslims are not angry at the United States for being insufficiently humble. Muslims are angry at the United States for … not being Muslim.
That’s why no matter how many peace treaties Obama pleads and cries for, it doesn’t matter. No matter how much Obama apologizes for America, no matter how much he pulls back our troops from the Middle East, no matter how much he vows to cut our nuclear arsenal, it doesn’t matter.
According to radical fundamentalist Muslims — the ones who dominate the religion as we know it — anyone who’s not a Muslim is an enemy, and must be destroyed. The United States is a particularly powerful and high profile enemy, which makes its destruction all the more important. That’s why the United States has been the primary target of terrorism by Muslims for many decades now.
Radical Muslims are like borderline personalities. Borderline personalities, according to psychiatrists and psychologists, are people who see the world in all-or-nothing, black-and-white terms. You’re either for them, or against them. Muslims view the Islamic religion as THE right religion. You’re either with it, or you’re not. And watch out if you’re not.
Stupid people like Obama think that radical Muslims are basically reasonable people. They falsely believe that if we treat them with kindness, reason and humility, they will respond in kind. If this were true, they would have appreciated his conciliatory tone over the burning of the Koran, as well as the last three years of his presidency. Yet radical Muslims are angrier than ever. Doesn’t this tell you something? Doesn’t this tell you that they don’t see reconciliation as possible, or even desirable?
Borderline personalities are in an almost constant state of anger. They feel like the perpetual victims. They scan the horizon, almost constantly, for evidence of any wrongdoing against them. This is just like the radical Muslims, who seized on an out-of-context event, the burning of the Koran by accident, as an excuse to yet again flare up and destroy everything in their path.
Islam is not a religion of peace. It’s a religion of rage. We attempt to pacify it at our peril.
No, I’m not suggesting that the U.S. declare war on Islam per se. The United States government cannot be at war with a religion. But naive U.S. officials should stop fooling themselves that Islam is anything about peace. If there are any Muslims who seek to live privately and in peace, then fine. The Amish don’t like Western civilization and modern society, but they keep to themselves. Why can’t Muslims?
When advocates of any religion take over governments, build nuclear bombs, sponsor regular and routine acts of terrorism against innocent people, all in the name of their religion, it’s high time to stop calling it a religion of peace!
Angry, militant Muslims are not news. It’s time we stop treating them as such. They will always be angry. It’s because they are unwilling to inhabit the same planet with people who have a different faith, or no faith at all.
More than any other government in human history, the United States government has respected and codified separation of church and state. This quite literally drives militant Muslims crazy. They see the absence of their faith in any society or individual as an attack on them. “You disagree with me? That’s an attack on me.” This is no different from the mindset of a borderline personality. That’s why borderline personalities are, in the context of businesses, families and marriages, nothing more than big bullies. Radical Muslims are bullies with bombs — soon to include nuclear bombs, if reports about Iran are to be believed.
How does it benefit America to pacify such a mentality?
