Two Attitudes

There are two ways to look at people who do something well, or better than you.

One is: “Why can’t I be like that?”

The second is: “Wow, what a great job he does. I’m going to strive for that, myself.”

Which attitude you have makes all the difference in the world–between envy, resentment and depression, on the one hand; or optimism, realism and self-initiative, on the other.

The world moves by the second attitude.
