Born With It

People are not “born with” superior abilities. At most, people are born with superior predispositions to abilities. These predispositions consist of whatever makes one brain, or one set of limbs, superior to another. But “ability” refers to more than the brain, and to more than the power of your limbs. Ability refers to what you choose to develop, and how well you develop it. Ability is not merely a matter of predisposition. It’s also a matter of application, choice and development. There’s no conflict between free will and biology. Both exist. Biology refers to your predispositions, and ability refers to what you do with them.
