Are you impatient? Do you have unrealistic expectations of yourself and others? This is a major cause of the depressive feeling that life isn’t really valuable or worthwhile. Are you intolerant? Of course some things deserve intolerance—such as evil, or willful stupidity, lazy thinking. But most things are not this bad. Do you see things as the mixture of negative and positive they usually are, or do you tend to see everything as ALL negative if it fails to be perfect or excellent? This sort of approach also tends to lead to depression.
