Racism doesn’t mean hatred of a particular race.
Racism means elevating race to a higher status than it deserves. Just as Obama will no doubt have anti-black racists voting against him, he already has sizable numbers of people voting FOR him because of his race. Pro-black racists choose a black candidate simply because he’s black, or because it’s “cool.” Obama has yet to make a case that increased taxation, increased government control of the economy, more than $1 trillion in additional domestic spending by the government, cutbacks in defense, and appeasement of terrorist enemies are credible, desirable policies. If Obama wins, the nature of the disaster will have been racism–by those who believe his race, rather than his ideas or his competence, qualify him to be leader of the free world.
