The Reality of Life

You have your challenges, and the people you care about have theirs.

Everyone has them, because life is–among other things–a series of challenges to be conquered. You can be sensitive to the fact that a loved one has challenges as you do; but you can also respect that they are not yours to resolve or to face. It’s a contradiction to think you are yourself–and not another–and that, simultaneously, you can somehow resolve or face life FOR another.
