Many people have a false idea that the end of a relationship, or a divorce, is a "failure." It isn't, necessarily. All that it really means is that the two members of the relationship no longer satisfy each other. Failure would consist of continuing in the delusion that things are different from the way they are. Success consists of acknowledging and accepting reality, and moving on. A lot of people who worry about "failure" over a divorce are concerned about how they will look to others. But you cannot make how things look to others your standard of what to do. Your standard of what to do ought to be what makes you happy. It can be hard enough to figure that out, without worrying over what others think. The only people who matter are the ones who want you to be happy.
